1934 Chevrolet

In this shot I have tried to show how immaculate this vehicle was with its shining coat of black paint and its gleaming brass hubcaps, headlights and radiator.  I choose to process in black & white to reflect the era of the car.

This is a work in progress at the Fawcett Carriage Works in Whitby, Ontario.

The main focus on this photo was to replicate the era of the car with sepia toning to give it an aged look.  In the following shot an element that adds age to the photo is the 1940 dodge on the left side of the photograph.

All of the above photographs were taken at Bowmanville, Ontario.  This was the downtown business associtation's Fabulous 50's Days.  This is an annual event and draws many cars from the local area.  King Street is closed for 3 blocks creating a mall and a partly-like atmosphere.  Other activities include: a Disc Jockey playing all of the rock and roll hits from the 50's, a Soapbox Derby, booths with local arts and crafts, a farmers' market and, of course, many items from local merchants.
